Every year in our now quite numerous TLK-furry fandom a global meeting is held. For a while now we call it Rusfurrence, by analogy with a meeting held somwhere in Europe by the name Eurofurence. So, our meeting have the same purpose as Eurofurence - it's a wonderful occasion for everyfur to meet in one place and have fun. The year 2006 is no exception. It will be our sixth meeting on February, and there are absolutely no reasons for it to be any less remarkable! Our country is sooo huge, to see a real live furry person who lives 10-12 time zones away - is really a big deal.
Native language for almost everyone of us is russian. Strange, isn't it? :) So furries who don't know russian may have problems reading this site (which is in russian too) This is exactly the thing wich should solve this problem. This document contains all the basic information about the event, plus some extra info, which makes sense for abroad furries only.
The same as usual. To meet together, have fun, and enjoy company of other furries in real life. IRL meetings like this are not so rare in our TLK/furry fandom. But this one - is a global all-exUSSR-countries event, and can only be organized once a year. We hope this time all furries from all remote areas of our boundless country could make it here and be happy together again. We will be glad to see our friends from abroad, too... from any near or far-away places of our planet. It's good to meet each other on IRC every day (or not so every), but that will never substitute real life meetings. We are looking forward to meet and get to know each other better with european, american, australian, any furries around the world!
Taking part in RusFurrence is absolutely easy. Almost no restrictions. We are glad to see our old friends, as well as to see new faces (and muzzles of course :) ). If you're feel like it - visit us with no doubts in your heart. You will have a rare chance to meet all of us in real life at one place. :) Here is the list of all the participants (sorry, in russian only... but the list is pretty self-explanatory) Most likely you will see there your old friends or acquaintances ;) Join in, we'll have fun together!

It's a pity, but the iron curtain, hardly broken after USSR's dissolution of a state, is now growing again. Even citizens of some ex-USSR republics have to get visa for visiting Russia, needless to say about inhabitants of other countries. Getting russian visa could take a couple of month, even more, so do not waste time, check rules in the nearest Russian Embassy right now. The best way to solve such problems is via travel bureau.
Russia is wild outdated northern country, bears and wolves rambles on the snow covered streets and peeps in ground floor windows, scaring men in sheepskin coats and ear-flap caps (grins :E ). Relax, its a joke :))) But as for north and snow — simple truth. At winter it could be up to, or rather, down to 30°C below zero. It's a rare case in moscow region. But 15°C or 20°C below zero is usual. Canadians, Alaskians and Scandinavians know how it is, but for the others I'll explain — it is VE-E-E-ERY COLD! So, if you are not real polar bear, arctic fox or penguin - provide yourself with a warm overcoat, cap and especially warm shoes.
